Slippery Elm Bark Peeling By NSBM 2007
Slippery elm bark peeling by NSBM 2007 (Ulmus rubra)
Ulmus rubra bark being peeled by those stalwart plant processors, the NSBM class of 2007. These trees were affected by dutch elm disease but were cut down before the inner bark (mucilage) was affected. A big thanks to Paul Strauss for teaching so many of us how to live with trees.
